This is the inspiring story of a child who initially struggled with adherence to Antiretroviral Therapy (ARVs). Due to missed doses and inconsistent follow-up, the child’s viral load remained high, posing a risk to long-term health outcomes.
Through consistent counseling, caregiver support, and regular follow-up visits by the health team, adherence gradually improved. The child began taking medication correctly and attending clinic appointments regularly.
Today, the child is fully adherent to treatment and has achieved viral suppression, demonstrating the power of continuous care, community support, and patient education in improving health outcomes.
